Tree Service in North Idaho: Family-Owned Expertise Since the 1930’s

If you are looking for an experienced tree service in North Idaho, you have come to the right place. Since the 1930's, the Bretthauer family has proudly served the region, working in and around the beautiful lakes and rivers that define our landscape. From Priest Lake and Pend Oreille to Coeur d’Alene, we combine generations of regional knowledge with professional arboricultural care.

Priest Lake

A Legacy Built on Hard Work

Our history in the timber industry began with Great Grandpa Ed and Haitty Bretthauer. Newly married and living in Spokane, Washington, they faced a pivotal choice: help construct the Coulee Dam or move to Priest River to enter the timber industry. A coin toss decided our future, and Priest River won.

Since that day, our family has remained deeply embedded in the local landscape. We participated in the last major log drive down the Priest River and fought to protect our forests during intense events like the Sundance Forest Fire of 1967. Over the decades, we have constructed hundreds of miles of regional roads and bridges, gaining a deep understanding of the unique topography across Priest Lake, Pend Oreille, and Coeur d’Alene.
