Tell Me A Story
Trees tend to be tall and can live long; by growing taller they are more able to compete better for sunlight. Trees are part of our environment. It can be found anywhere and mostly in provinces wherein modernization is not yet achieved.
Many people heard about Arbor Day, a holiday which encourages individuals and group of people to plant trees. But, do you know what an arborist is? Arborist is professional in the practice of arboriculture; arboriculture refers to the cultivation, managements and study of individual trees, shrubs, vines and other perennial woody plant. They hold a wide range of jobs that relates to care and maintenance of the trees.
A tree service technician is a specialized arborist. They are someone who looks after trees and identifies disease and pest. By using climbing and rigging procedures, they will cut away the dead and spare branches from trees and shrubs to retain the clearance of road streets, sidewalks, appearance, health and the significance of the tree. They act as protectors and guardians of trees. They maintain the lives and health of trees and make sure that they will receive the best services that they deserve. Through these functions, it is truly an honor for us to celebrate a day for the arborists. It is not only celebrated for them but for planting young trees that will replace the older ones. One day of tree-planting is a big help for the nature and a big contribution to the growth of our Mother Earth.
Being an arborist is not the only way to show your care about trees. We can share our help in any way that we can. We can start in a simple way until we achieve our goals. As long as we are aware of the importance of trees and the ways on how to maintain their health, we can help them survive. I believe that if we start encouraging all the people in preserving our gifts from nature, trees will still exist until the next generations. We don’t need to stop dreaming for a high-technology cities wherein life is easy and modernized. But what I’m saying is along with our developing world, we shouldn’t forget the goodness of nature. We shouldn’t forget the benefits that we have received and enjoying from it. The earth will not be complete without nature, without trees. Nothing could ever replace the comfort and relaxation that we could get from nature so we must care for it. Instead of thinking on how to destroy and kill our trees, we should think of other ways on how to preserve and prolong its existence.
As the saying by Paulo Coelho goes, “In a forest of a hundred thousand trees, no two leaves are alike. And no two journeys along the same path are alike.”
Every tree has its own characteristic and importance. No tree is the same as the other because each of them is unique just like human beings. So we should give them equal care and treatment because they are all considered as gifts from the Mighty creator.
